New Officers Elected 2024
The Oxford Hustlers 4-H Club held its first meeting on Sunday March 3, 2024 at 6:00 PM at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Milan, Ohio. At the first meeting they elected their officers for the 2024 4H year. Each office was announced, and then members could volunteer for that office. Club members then voted for who they wanted to hold the office. Elections need to happen because more than one person was interested in each office. Here are the results of the election.

Parliamentary Procedure and Summer Camp 2024
At our last club meeting we learned how to correctly run a meeting. To learn parliamentary procedure, we made Snack Mix together and voted on what to put in our mix.
If you want to suggest something in a meeting you are supposed to stand up, say your name, and you say, “I Move” and then whatever you want to say.
Then another club member must stand up, say his or her name, and then second that by saying, “I second that.”
Then all the club members vote and the majority wins.
One example of this is that Kolton Miller stood up and said his name and said, “I move we put one chili bean in.
Another club member stood up, said her name, and said, “I second that.”
Then the club voted, and the motion failed.
