To join a 4-H club in Erie County, you should call the Extension Office at 419-627-7631. You will be asked some questions and we will give you contact information of some 4-H volunteers in your area. Please be aware that youth must by signed up online with a club, pay the activity fee and have their projects chosen by April 1st!! Clubs begin meeting as early as February and March, so please contact the Extension Office as soon as possible.
Age Requirements for 4-H are:
- Youth 8 years old AND in third grade as of January 1st can become regular 4-H members who can compete in a wide range of project areas, attend overnight camps and take projects to the local and state fair.
- Youth 5-8 years old AND in Kindergarden through second grade as of January 1st can become Cloverbud members, who participate in non-competitive activities which are specifically designed for their age level.
