Various scholarships are available to eligible 4-H members. The information about these scholarships is updated as they are finalized. Please check back often.


Erie County 4-H Scholarship - due April 1st

This scholarship, sponsored by the Erie County 4-H Committee, is for eligible members who have not previously been awarded an Erie County 4-H Scholarship. Must meet deadline and presence at interview is required. Interviews will be held TBD

Erie County Homemakers Scholarship - due April 1st

This scholarship recipient is chosen from the 4-H Scholarship applicants. Therefore, to apply for this scholarship, please use the 4-H Scholarship Application and follow those guidelines when applying. Eligible members are high school seniors who have taken FCS projects and/or who plan to major in an FCS related field. Must meet deadline and presence at interview required. The scholarship is sponsored by the Erie County Homemakers Council. Interviews will be held TBD

Erie County CARTEENS Scholarship - due April 1st

Applicant must be at least a high school senior. Previous recipients of the Erie County CARTEENS scholarships are not eligible to reapply. Must meet deadline and presence at interview is required to receive this scholarship. Interviews will be held TBD

Erie County Master Gardener Scholarship - Due March 15

This scholarship, sponsored by the Erie County Master Gardeners, is for applicants pursuing a degree in Plant Science, such as Agronomy, Botany, Horticulture, Forestry, or Landscaping. You do NOT need to be a 4-H member to apply.

Chris Norman Scholarship -  Due April 13th

Christopher T. Norman was an outstanding Huron Co. 4-H member who went on to work with the Farm Bureau in northwest Ohio.  He touched many lives in Huron, Erie and other surrounding counties.  He died an untimely death on March 18, 2000. His family set up a Memorial Scholarship Fund in Chris’s name.  Applicants must be a current 4-H member, and a graduating senior for the current school year in one of the following counties: Ashland, Defiance, Erie, Fulton, Henry, Huron, Lorain, Lucas, Ottawa, Richland, Sandusky, Seneca, Williams, and Wood. Please find attached the information sheet and application for the scholarship. Applicants enrolling at OSU main or branch campuses or ATI will be given preference.  If you have any questions, call the Huron County Extension Office at 419-668-8219

Roger Stang Memorial Scholarship - Due April 15th

Roger Stang lived a life of integrity and a love of the land. Roger enjoyed his career as an agronomist and after he clocked out for the day you could find him either in the tractor working on the family farm or spending time with family and friends. This scholarship is intended to help those striving to obtain a degree to work in the agriculture industry and it is our hope that you love what you do as much as Roger did.
