Become a Master Gardener Volunteer

Do you love to garden? Do you love to share what you know?  Then we invite you to become an Erie County Master Gardener Trainee.

Our mission is to promote and teach timely, research-based lawn and gardening practices to the public, to provide an environment for personal growth to Erie County Master Gardener Volunteers, and to assist Ohio State University Extension in Erie County.

Master Gardener Trainees receive instruction from Ohio State University Extension on everything from soils and botany to native plants and entomology.

Trainees attend classes and field trips to prepare them for serving the community. Master Gardeners have ongoing access to professional development opportunities that let them continue to grow their gardening knowledge.
